In order to decrease dog bites, breed bans are ineffective.

Due to increased human attacks, the Union ministry of fisheries, animal husbandry, and dairying advocated banning certain dog breeds.

The restriction is decided by local governments. Rottweilers, Pitbulls, mastiffs, and American bulldogs are among the 23 breeds.

The purpose is to cease selling, importing, and breeding these dogs. This is a minor triumph against extensive, unethical, and illegal dog breeding.

How did these breeds become aggressive? Owners of these breeds should neuter them.

Despite my dog's socialization and training, the situation was unpleasant and might have caused any dog to lash out in self-defense.
